What if you lived in a world where everything was plain? Where colors could not be seen and temperature could not be felt. In the story “The Giver”, by Lois Lowery, the main character Jonas lived in that kind of world of plainness. Some things happened that I believe will cause a certain outcome.
I think that Jonas is going to get so stressed from the secrets The Giver tells him that he is going to end up telling someone about them. In one part of the story, Jonas had been trying to see if his friend Asher could see color, which had almost given the secret of color away. He might start to ask questions to his family or friends that might give away one of the secrets.
In the “Sameness” that Jonas must live in, it must be hard to try and keep all those secrets that the Giver had given him. If I were him, I would probably accidentally give away the secrets.
