Assassin

The moon was the only light in the darkness of night, but Ezio was used to moving through the crowded streets stealthily. A few guards had gathered at the corner of a building. He quickly crossed to the other side of the street, hoping they would not notice him. Out of the corner of his eye, one of the guards spotted him. He immediately started shouting to the guards and the started running after Ezio. Weaving through the crowd with ease, Ezio made his way to a tall building, while the guards were shouting and stumbling behind him. Looking behind him, he noticed they were getting too close. He turned around quickly and threw some dirt from the ground into their faces. As they tried to get it out of their eyes, Ezio stabbed the closest guard with his hidden blade. He began running again towards the building. Without hesitation, Ezio ran up the wall, grabbing one of the ledges and starting to climb the building. Attempting to climb it as well, several guards started to follow, while others stayed because they did not want to take the risk of falling. Ezio reached the top and looked at a long beam extending outward from the building. He walked slowly on it, keeping his balance as the guards shouted from below. With his feet balanced on the beam, he looked into the darkened streets below. Ezio knew that the fall from that height would be deadly without a soft landing, but he also knew he would have to take the risk to avoid capture. As he jumped, the guards following had just reached the top and attempted to grab him before he was out of reach. Ezio plummeted into the darkness and instead of hitting the hard ground, he landed in a pile of hay. From the roof, the guards searched the street for him, but they could not see him. As they gave up the search, Ezio jumped out of the hay and ran away.
